Swiss Expert Meeting on Nanomedicine

  • Aim: Nanotechnology has found its application in the manufacturing and clinical application of so-called "nanomedicines". In order to assure efficacy and safety of this group of drugs, the adaptation of knowledge obtained from fundamental research to development, manufacturing, clinical testing and application in therapy is needed. The Swiss Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SAPhS) is organizing this expert meeting in order to establish an overview on fundamental research activities and capabilities in the area of nanomedicine(s) in Switzerland. In additon, translation into the regulatory, clinical and industrial practice shall be discussed. The outcome of this meeting will be summarized in a position paper.
