The highest honor of the Academy is the award of the Reichstein Medal. The nomination lies in the competence of the Senate (paragr. 16 of Statutes).

Fellows are persons who acquired outstanding merits in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. They are nominated usually every year (paragr. 19) by the Senate's Board on proposal of the Senate (paragr. 16) and are elected by the General Assembly (paragr. 14). The ceremony takes place during the Swiss Pharma Science Day (SPhSD).

Honorary members become persons who especially supported the Academy in her tasks and activities. They are nominated by the Senate's Board on recommendation of the Senate and elected by the General Assembly (paragr. 4).
